Applications

Digital Audio

You're a musician waiting to be discovered. You've just been contacted by a major recording studio. They want a demo of your music... digitized ... tomorrow. Your band just left on a 3-week trek through the Himalayas, and they don't do cellular. Fortunately you have all their parts on a 16-track tape. You quickly mix down the separate tracks to your SyJet and Fedex it. The recording studio loves your sound and is impressed by your state-of-the-art equipment. You sign the contract. You're a star.

Digital Video

You just found out that all the demos for your trade show need major changes. That means you have to edit 10 hours worth of video by Friday and it's Tuesday afternoon. You only have 200 MB left on your internal hard drive. "No problem," you say as you whip out your SyJet. You get to work. You meet deadline only because your SyJet has more capacity than you've ever had to work with, and it runs just as fast as your hard drive. Phew, you couldn't have done it without SyJet. It flies.

Multimedia

You're a developer. It's Day 1 on the new job and your boss has asked you to put together an educational CD-ROM title for the next product launch taking place in just three months. Amazingly, you find no one in the company has any creative talent. You have to outsource all the video, audio, animation, graphics and photography. To top it off, your equipment budget is meager. You get SyJet drives for all your contractors and have them send in their files on a SyJet cartridge. Side by side, you and your SyJet code and compile this multimedia project in 2 months and 29 days. Your boss loves it. She calls you a genius. You get a raise.

Graphic Design

You're a graphic designer for one of New York City's top advertising firms. You juggle large graphics files for 15 clients at once. You work at the office and at home: you don't have time for anything but real-time edits, and with SyQuest, working right off your cartridge is never an issue. It used to be that your clients' projects would span 4 or 5 cartridges, one of which , the service bureau always seemed to misplace. With a SyJet, each client only needs one cartridge, and it never falls behind the service bureau's row of workstations.

Road Warrior

You're a road warrior. You have the opportunity to present to the biggest client your company has ever had - potentially, it's a multimillion dollar deal.

Your company has a presentation that will blow your client's mind. The only problem is: it's big-screen trade show demo that takes up 550MB ... and there are 2 versions, PC and Mac. You always come prepared. You have a choice of packing up a 30-pound computer system into 2 large boxes and schlepping them through 3 airports, OR, you can copy the files onto a SyJet cartridge in minutes and slip it into your briefcase. You choose SyJet. You blow the client's mind.

It's a done deal.

Internet/WWW

You're a digital packrat. You spend every night from 8pm to 2am eating Reese's Peanut Butter cups and surfing the net. First you check your stocks and then nip over to Yahoo! to check out the latest and greatest. You proceed to download all the free images, fonts, games, and shareware without even looking at it. At work the next day, you pop in your SyJet cartridge to peruse last night's downloading frenzy. Only one program had a virus; you zapped it right from the SyJet before it touched your internal hard drive. The rest is good loot. You keep it all, and dream about the on-line adventures you'll have tonight.

Games

You're a Mechwarrior II addict, and you admit it. You're on the verge of winning this game when your parents sentence you to 2 weeks at your grandparents' ranch. The good news is they have a computer. The bad news is it's a 386 with no CD-ROM, and your CD-ROM is internal. You think, "No problem, I'll just copy it onto my SyJet." So you do. You get to grandma's and immediately start playing. This game SCREAMS (even on this old clunker). You imagine how it will run of your Pentium at home. There's no going back.
