Errata are important information on security fixes, updates, and bug fixes
for Red Hat Linux. Each advisory contains a description of the problem
and resolution, a link to the updated RPM, an Errata ID number.
There are two type of notices: Red Hat, Inc. Security Advisories and Red
Hat, Inc. Package Updates.
- Security Advisories are updates essential to the security of a machine.
Red Hat, Inc. recommends every user of Red Hat Linux install these
upgrades to prevent unauthorized intrusion or denial of service attacks.
- Package Updates are bug fixes and package updates issued since the
original release. These RPMs are not critical for system integrity but
are recommended for addressing functional problems.
More information is available by querying the public Red Hat bug tracking
database.
