Section 3 - Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 Shared Network Installation

These are advanced instructions for network system administrators
who are already familiar with Windows 3.1 shared network
installations. The example assumes that you are using drive G: as the
network drive and C: as the user's local drive. Substitute your
drive's letters if they are different from the examples below;

Example: G:\WINDOWS - Shared Network Windows files
	 G:\IA2 - ImageAccel 2 display driver file
	 C:\WINDOWS - Local Windows directory

Instructions For The Network Administrator

1. On the shared network drive, make a directory for all the ImageAccel
   display driver files. MD X:\IA2
2. Copy all the files from the two ImageAccel 2 display driver
diskettes to the ImageAccel 2 directory, X:\IA2.
3. Run Windows. Choose File, Run from Program Manager (Win 3.11) or Run
from the desktop (Win 95). Type: X:\IA2\SETUP /A to start the
ImageAccel 2 network administrator setup. All files that can be
shared by ImageAccel and ImageAccel 2 are expanded to the network
   drive during this process.
4. Now you are ready to run the ImageAccel 2 Setup to install the driver
   on each ImageAccel 2 workstation.
5. A reboot of the workstation from which SETUP/A was performed is
   required at this point.

*NOTE: Durring the installation process the setup program will ask
for the Manufacturer's Installation Disk. This is defaulted for the
A: Drive. You must change to the directory specified in Step 1.

Install ImageAccel 2 Client Workstation

1. Setup the workstation using the standard VGA driver that comes with
   Windows 3.11 or Windows 95
2. After Windows is running, choose the Run command.
This is under the File option in the Program Manager for
Windows 3.11 and in the Start tab for Windows 95.
3. Type; X:\IA2\setup /N to start the ImageAccel 2 Client Workstation
   installation.
4. Choose the ImageAccel 2 Display type, and follow the prompts for
   setting up ImageAccel 2.
5. Choose Standard 256 Color or ClearColor display driver (Win 3.1 only)
6. Reboot the machine to initialize the ImageAccel driver.

Network Administrator Notes:

This process copies the following ImageAccel 2 files to the Client
Workstation directory.
1. PCICONF.SYS, PCI/ISA Configuration Utility
2. CTI*.* Grayscale Palette and Overscanning DOS Drivers
3. I2README.TXT Readme file

Maintaining ImageAccel 2 Drivers On Shared Network Installations

If you have a previous version of ImageAccel 2 driver installed in
the same network directory, and you are updating workstations with
a newer version of the ImageAccel 2 driver, we recommend the
following procedure:

1. Upgrade the Administrative Copy of Windows by following the
instructions under the Instructions for The Network Administrator
   section of this readme.
2. Upgrade each client by following the instructions for Installing
   ImageAccel 2 Client Workstation.
3. Delete IA.DRV and VDDIA.386 from the client workstation.

Known Problems with Network Installations

If you are following the Instructions For The Network Administrator,
and get the error that SERIFF.FON can not be updated; There are
insufficient Read/Write privileges in the destination directory
or the file is in use.

If you have ImageAccel 1 and ImageAccel 2 subsystems running on the
same shared copy of windows, run the administrative install for
ImageAccel 1 first then do the same for ImageAccel 2.

ImageAccel 2 in a share network installation, please contact
